SEWING UP THEIR SKIN :: THE THIRD ALBUM BY MURRUMUR

 Aliases, Identities, Pseudonyms: An auditory representation of a digitized psyche, ripped apart and stitched together, creates a distinct manifestation. For better or worse, in health and sickness, forever peeling back layers to return to something pure. Wires transmit blood. Wires transmit signals. If I sever the power, will those wires bleed as well? And upon reconnection, will my own bleeding cease? As I present myself to all of you—a husk, a gutted representation of what I once was, what I will become, and what I used to be—carry my expression, my essence, and my identity through these wires. Both authentic and artificial, traversing the programmed wastelands that once hosted life and individuality.
